Working with Fable has been a long journey through different iterations of Drink Fable. At first, we developed an "MVP" which we were given the designs on to build out. Their goal was to always build brand awareness and sell products.
The main challenge is the DTC work-around, it comes down to legal situations -- but since we can’t use native e-commerce solutions to sell THC related products, 3rd party software is the way to go.
Building this in a way that interacts with Webflow CMS was a challenge since we were the platforms first use case.
In the second iteration of their website, we ended up developing this with "Ginger" which is an e-commerce platform for cannabis companies to sell products using their own websites. We also built out a custom "customer review" system like ones you see in Shopify, but using Airtable + Webflows CMS.
services
We developed all iterations of their website in Webflow, we're using Webflow's CMS to run ecommerce functions instead of native ecommerce. Since we're using a third party tool (Ginger) to manage their products, discounts, and inventory.
We also used Webflows CMS to manage content like hero sections, blogs, and news.
We custom built their testimonial system using Airtable + the Webflow CMS. The end result is a simple review/approve system. The client can view a testimonial in Webflow from Airtable, flip a switch, and the testimonial is live. The client was also make the same changes on the Airtable side, but it must always be approved in Webflow for them to appear.
We worked with their UX Designer during design handoff and implemented their designs. We also worked with an SEO Agency, making sure the site was accessible, legal, and Google was free to crawl through it without any blockers in code or Webflow development.
We integrated Ginger, a third party tool to run e-commerce functions in their Webflow website.
We custom built their testimonial system using Airtable + the Webflow CMS. The end result is a simple review/approve system, as mentioned in the development section. It's integrated using Airtables API + Webhooks
We plugged in GA (Google Analytics) to collect data
We plugged in Klaviyo (an email marketing tool) to manage pop-ups, signups, forms, and "coming soon" signups when products are available in the customers location or online.
